Investigates the indoor thermal environment parameters of 68 residential buildings in Nanyang rural areas in winter. At the same time, conducts a questionnaire survey to 155 residents on thermal sensation, thermal comfort and other subjective feelings. The results show that at the same operative temperature, mean thermal sensation vote of the respondents in Nanyang rural areas is 0.2 and 0.35 higher than that of Yueyang rural area and Nanyang urban area, respectively, which means the stronger cold resistance of the residents in Nanyang rural areas. Compared to the northern cold climate and the south warm climate, near the Qinling Mountain-Huaihe, the thermal neutral temperature in a certain condition of transitional climate area is the lowest, but the strongest cold resistance ability.
